Work Skills BTEC Level 2 at Hastingsbury Business and Enterprise College

Course description

Work Skills is a flexible suite of qualifications suitable for learners of all ages and at all stages of their working lives. They aim to equip young people and adults with the skills to gain and retain a job in challenging times. Individuals wishing to progress in the workplace, in education and in training, need demonstrably flexible and wide-ranging skills and Work Skills delivers exactly that. Work Skills builds on the ABC of employability - Attitude, Behaviour and Communication - to develop the skills that employers are looking for and to give learners an edge in a competitive climate.

BTEC Work Skills is not an examined set of qualifications, but instead allows students to build up a portfolio of work that includes evidence of learning outcomes and marked assessments for each unit of study.

Students collect credits by completing different units at different points in their education. These units might be taught in different courses or even at different establishments. Students will be notified whether they have passed a unit or not in order to gain the credits.
