Business Administration - FL at Springboard Bromley

Course description

The aim of our Foundation Learning programme is to help you make the step into regular employment, further education or Apprenticeship/NVQ training. Our Foundation learning course includes: 1. Gateway Induction programme 2. Sessions to improve and develop a range of skills 3. English & Maths training 4. Vocational work experience in Business Administration 5. ‘Moving On’ sessions 1. Our programme starts with a 1 week induction, which all students complete. It consists of various activities aimed at making you feel welcome and preparing you for the world of work. You will come back into the classroom regularly over the first few weeks to continue developing these skills. 2. We can provide you with individual support sessions to help enhance your personal effectiveness in areas such as confidence, communication, behaviour, assertiveness and anger management. 3. You will work towards qualifications in English and Maths. 4. You will undertake work experience either in our on-site office or with an external employer. The length of time on programme is different for every student. However, as a guide the average length of stay is about 24 weeks. You will work between 16 – 30 hours per week. 5. We offer ‘Moving on’ sessions to provide you with an individual action plan to identify your next steps after completing the programme. We look forward to hearing from you!

Entry requirements

To join our Foundation Learning programme visit your local Connexions office, who will refer you to us for a one to one interview. Alternatively, you can contact us direct for an interview. You will be assessed at interview for the support you need in English and Maths before being accepted onto the programme. Students joining the programme need to be able to work at the Entry 3 Level. We recruit and start groups throughout the year.

Future opportunities

Foundation Learning offers you the support to move onto an Apprenticeship, employment or Further Education. Gaining experience and practical skills can provide the stepping stone onto further qualifications or administration and clerical jobs in offices and businesses.
