Health and Social Care (Health Studies) Certificate and Extended Diploma Level 3 at South & City College Birmingham
This is a level 3 qualification which provides comprehensive knowledge and understanding of health and social care for learners aged 16-19 and is ideal if you wish to progress on to university to study Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedics or other health related careers.
To enrol on this course you must possess a minimum of 5 GCSES Grade 9-4 (A*-C) including English Language and maths and science. If you have taken separate sciences at GCSE a 4 © or above in Biology is required.Or have achieved a relevant Level 2 qualification (such as NCFE CACHE Level 2 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care BTEC Level 2 Health and Social Care or GCSE Health and Social Care) at Merit or grade C and passed both GCSE English Language maths and science/Biology at a grade 4 © or above.You will also be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check in order to undertake placement.

Successful completion of the Technical Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care (Health Studies) can provide you with the opportunity to progress onto a variety of Higher Education programmes in the Health sector such as Adult Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedic Science.
