Health and Social Care BTEC level 3 at Enfield County School

Course description

The Health & Social Care department provides vocational based courses at key stage 4 and 5. Courses are assessed through course work and exams. Students are encouraged to become independent learners who take responsibility for managing their time to meet assignment dead- lines. We provide a homework club once a week where students can come and receive individual support with coursework and visits to vocational settings to support learning.

Level 3 BTEC in  Health & Social Care

  • Certificate : 1 AS – 3 units

    • Unit 2 : Equality, Diversity & Rights in Health & Social Care
    • Unit 3: Health, Safety and Security in Health & Social Care

 

  • Subsidiary Diploma : 1 A’ Level- 6 units  (as per Certificate plus...)
    • Unit 4: Development through the life stages
    • Unit 6: Personal and Professional Development in Health & Social Care

 

  • Diploma : 2  A’ Levels 12 units (as per Subsidiary Diploma plus...)
    • Unit 5 : Anatomy and physiology in Health & Social Care
    • Unit 7 : Sociological Perspectives in Health & Social Care
    • Unit 8: Psychological Perspectives in Health & Social Care
    • Unit 10: Caring for Children & Young People
    • Unit 11: Safeguarding Adults and Promoting Independence
    • Unit 17: Working in the Social Care Sector
    • Unit 24: Introduction to Counselling Skills
