ILM Understanding Leadership at London Learning Consortium

Course description

Delegates will explore the concept of leadership to identify, understand and develop more effective leadership skills. You will learn about different styles of leadership so that you can recognise which particular style will work best for you. You will learn to identify the behaviour of good leaders in the workplace and how to recognise key leadership qualities. By the time you finish the training; you'll have a better understanding of leadership and know how to exhibit strong leadership qualities yourself to enable you to get the best out of your teams.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but delegates will normally be either practicing or aspiring first line managers with the opportunity to meet the assessment requirements.


Delegates will put together a portfolio of work products, (including observation of workplace practice) which will be marked by the assessor, internally verified by the IV before certification is awarded via ILM.
