Electrical Level 3 Diploma at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College*

Course description

This course will provide learners with the essential practical skills and underpinning knowledge to become fully qualified in the electrical industry.

Course content

This qualification like the level 2 covers a wide range of subjects including, environment awareness, engineering techniques, electrical and electronic principles, electrical and electronic testing methods, systems and devices, electrical installation methods, wiring and circuit protection, electrical circuit inspection and testing, fault diagnosis in domestic applications.

Entry requirements

You must complete a level 2 electrical qualification and you will be required to attend an interview.

Assessment

Targets will be set and agreed with your tutor, you will receive regular feedback and one to one reviews to ensure that you are on track to achieve your goals. Your practical work will also be assessed by your tutor and your portfolio will be assessed by our internal verification team. Parents can also monitor progress through the Pro Monitor Portal.

Future opportunities

Complete the NVQ at level 3.

Electrical and/or Electronic Engineer.
