Customer Service Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 at New College Stamford

Course description

Develop your career in commercial environment with this Apprenticeship enabling you to combine study at College with working in a business.You will study the practical skills required to complete a Level 3 NVQ in Customer Service;Demonstrate understanding of customer serviceDemonstrate understanding of the rules that impact on improvements in customer serviceDeal with customersImprove customer relationsResolve customer service problemsDeliver customer service to difficult customersYou will also be expected to achieve a Technical Certificate, Functional Skills in Maths and English at Level 2, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) and Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) which along with the NVQ make up the full Advanced level apprenticeship framework in Customer Service.

Course content

Your programme will be mostly based and delivered in your workplace although some attendance at college may be required throughout the duration of your learning. Your will undertake modules of study including both theory and practice. Underpinning knowledge, training and assessment will be undertaken primarily in the workplace and some home study will be required.

Entry requirements

Candidates must attend an interview with a Customer Service tutor and complete a skills test and a literacy and numeracy assessment. It is a requirement of this course that you have a firm job offer from an industry based employer. We have employers interested in taking on an apprentice or you may have secured employment already. Our team will be happy to discuss this with you. Level 2 Customer Service qualification would be advantageous.

Assessment

Assessment will be continuous through oral, written and practical work. An assessor will visit you in the workplace to carry out practical assessments and monitor your progress. Certification of the Apprenticeship framework will be issued on successful completion of your portfolio evidence for the NVQ, achievement of the Technical Certificate, all Functional Skills required, PLTS and the ERR Award.

16 – 18 years – Course 100% funded19 – 23 years – No contribution is required at this moment in time.(employers may wish to help towards the costs)24+ years – Not funded. Course costs payable by employer/individual but loans may be available through the 24+ Advanced Learning Loan scheme.

Future opportunities

You could progress onto Customer Service, Business Administration or Management at Level 4 and above, Higher Education courses in customer service related studies or full time employment in a commercial environment with opportunities to progress to more senior roles in customer service support management functions.
