Performing Arts Level 1 Diploma at West Herts College

Course description

Interested in dance, drama or music? This course offers a broad introduction to the exciting world of performing arts.

You’ll develop new skills and gain the confidence to perform in public. This is invaluable for all sorts of work, not just careers in the performing arts.

Course content

You’ll study a broad range of subjects including:

  • Acting

  • Dance

  • Music

  • Working in the Performing Arts

In addition, you’ll complete GAP work placements and develop your English and maths – all of which are essential for further study and working life.

Entry requirements

2 GCSEs (E–G), Entry Level 3 qualification, plus an audition and interview.

Future opportunities

Most students progress to the Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts, developing their skills and preparing for a career in the performing arts.
