Designed for ambitious individuals who are employed in an accounting or financial administration role, the Intermediate Apprenticeship in Accounting enables learners to develop their career whilst gaining practical and theoretical sector skills and knowledge.

The programme

During the apprenticeship learners will work towards achieving the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting. This qualification enables individuals to demonstrate their professional competence and knowledge, in turn allowing them to take on more responsibility in the workplace and put their newly attained skills into action.

Apprentices will gain a fundamental understanding of the needs of their organisation, its customers and the sector they work in, ultimately enhancing their technical abilities and providing an awareness of key working practices.

AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting

The Level 2 Certificate in Accounting covers the basic principles of ledger accounting and methods of recording financial transactions. Using both manual and computerised systems, learners will become familiar with the day-to-day techniques that are necessary to work effectively in an accountancy or financial administration role.

  • Basic costing
  • Computerised accounting
  • Professional ethics in accounting and finance
