Biology at Notre Dame Roman Catholic School

Course description

Biology is the study of living organisms and their environment. Progress in Biology, particularly in Cell Biology, has been rapid and this is reflected in the content of this specification.You will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of valuable key skills particularly practical and IT skills. You will be able to develop essential knowledge and understanding of key concepts in Biology and in their application. You will undertake practical work, including a residential field trip, and you will have opportunities through visits and schemes such as the Nuffield Bursary to interact with qualified biologists in a variety of fields.

Entry requirements

5 GCSE passes at grade C and above, have studied the sciences at GCSE level and have achieved passes at Grade B or better.
