Drama and Theatre Studies AS/A Level 3 at Astor College
Drama at Key Stage 5 follows the BTEC Extended Certificate in Performing Arts - Acting pathway.
Through the course students will learn about influential theatre practitioners, gain considerable performance experience and develop reflective and analytical skills through the reviewing of live and recorded theatre. There is a final performance exam that consists of the creation, development and realisation of a full performance and subsequent written portfolios alongside practical work.
4-5 GCSEs at 4 / C or above in different subjects including English and Mathematics.
A-level Drama and Theatre Studies is useful for students considering Higher Education in any arts or humanities subject including English Language and Literature, Journalism, Dance, Music, Art and Design, and Media Studies.
