History at Sprowston Community High School
The study of History in the Sixth Form offers students the opportunity to develop their understanding of the past by learning to interpret, analyse and evaluate evidence at the heart of key moments, movements and turning points across a wide period of History from the 16th to the 20th Centuries.
The course focuses on the theme of the struggle for representation and voice, from the rebellions of Tudor England, the turmoil of the Russian Revolution, the struggle for racial and gender equality to global tensions of Superpower rivalry.
To study A Level courses you will need to have achieved at least 5 GCSE Grades A*-C in full courses including either English or Maths. B grade or higher in GCSE English Language. B grade or higher in GCSE History.
