Course description

This full level 3 course is aimed at individuals looking to gain personal skills within the organisational and entrepreneurial side of the events and entertainment business. The course is specifically designed for people who are looking at the following career areas:

  • Promoting
  • Event co-ordinator
  • Event manager/planner
  • Venue management
  • PR

Units include:

  • Events management
  • Stage Mangement
  • Front of House Operations
  • Arts Administration
  • Legal Aspects of the Performing Arts
  • Marketing

It is possible to progress to the second year of the Extended Diploma course from the Level 3 Diploma. It is aimed at individuals looking to gain and develop skills within the organisational, technical and entrepreneurial side of the entertainment industry. After a first year of either Events Management or Stage Management / Theatre Technology, you will spend time further developing these skills and deepening your understanding, whilst broadening your knowledge of the demands of working in the industry.

  • Visual Imagery Arts Production
  • Extended project

Entry requirements

Standard entry requirements are:

  • BTEC Level 2 Diploma in a related subject at Merit
  • 5 GCSEs at C or above including English or maths
  • Appropriate work experience

    • The Arts Centre is located in Liverpool's Hope Street Quarter.
