Spanish A-Level at WALSALL ACADEMY

Course description

Students who have the ability to offer potential employers a competent and fluent level of Spanish with high degree of accuracy, possess an extremely marketable and sought after skill. With the ongoing development and rapidity of international communications, the relevance and value of a foreign language has never been more obvious. Furthermore, continuing with a language sets a solid base for learning further languages at a later stage.

AGCE Courses are now being designed to incorporate a vocational as well as academic dimension, preparing students for exciting career opportunities in a wide range of professions. Students also have the opportunity to study film and literary texts to deepen their knowledge.

These courses will also serve as excellent preparation for students wishing to proceed to Higher Education. Advanced Level Spanish aims to provide students with a thorough knowledge of the language and to develop in particular, the skill of speaking with a high degree of fluency.

We expect all students to demonstrate a high level of motivation and have the capacity for hard work.Sixth Form work is demanding and students are expected to take increased responsibility for their own learning through supported self-study courses. Excellent attendance is vital if students are to benefit from the courses.
