Course description
This course offers good industry related delivery that can be mapped into a full NVQ Diploma. Weymouth College offers up-to-date industry standard workshop and teaching facilities. The lecturers are City & Guild qualified staff with an excellent working industry background.
Course content
• Health & Safety • Electrical principles • Scientific principles (Theory only) • Common plumbing processes • Cold water systems • Domestic hot water systems • Sanitation (practical with supplementary questions) • Central heating systems • Drainage systems • Understand how to communicate with others within building service engineering (theory only).
Entry requirements
No previous qualifications are needed.
Assessment
There are nine online theory tests and eight practical assignments
Future opportunities
Students can progress onto the Level 3 program. When a work placement is gained these qualification units can be used to obtain the full Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating.
