Advanced Apprenticeship for IT Application Specialists at Kingston College
Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to work for an employer, earn a salary and at the same time study to achieve a nationally recognised qualification whilst gaining valuable workplace skills and experience.
Apprenticeships are flexible and designed to offer a structured program of learning to fit around the needs of the individual and the employer. Learning takes place mainly during employment through the development of ‘on the job skills’ supported by ‘off the job training’ which will take place at Kingston College typically for one day week. The apprenticeship leads to nationally recognised qualifications.
This apprenticeship provides the skills knowledge and competence required to become an IT Infrastructure Technician in a wide range of job roles such as Help Desk Technician, First or Second Line Support, IT Infrastructure Technician, Network Support.
Level 3 Diploma in IT User Skills (ITQ). • Level 2 Functional Skills in Information Communications & Technology which incorporates modules in Spreadsheets, Word Processing, Database, Presentation software amongst others. • Employee Rights & Responsibilities.

GCSE Mathematics and English at grade A*-C/9-4 and suitable employment.
Assessment is continuous both in College and the work place.
Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in IT or HNC in Computing and Systems Development.
