Pre Employment Training at BCTG

Course description

This pre-employability course for learners aged 19+ involves making yourself more marketable to potential employers by developing the skills and attributes that are needed in the workplace.

Completion of this course will support progression onto:

  • Level 1 Introduction to Care provision
  • Level 2 Plant Operations including Fork Lift Truck Counterbalance Licence

Course content

Day 1 -Week 1:  Welcome, Planning for the future

Day 2 - Week 2:  CV Building - knowing your strengths and how to sell them

Day 3 - Week 3:  Interviewing skills

Day 4 - Week 4  Preparing for work


The start and finish of each session will be confirmed at interview

Entry requirements

Preference for the learner to have a basic understanding of Literacy and Numeracy Skills (To be assessed)

There are no course fees involved.

Future opportunities

Learners can progress onto the furl Level 1 qualifications in Plant Operations or Care.
