Languages AS/A2 at The King Alfred School

Course description

A wealth of material is available, including CDs, DVDs, magazines, newspapers, internet and radio, which will help you develop the confidence to communicate orally and in writing, in social and work related situations.   

You study a variety of topics of contemporary interests, the culture of other countries and the structure of language. We encourage and organise trips.

Course content

AS French, German & Spanish

Module 1 – Leisure and Lifestyles (sport, hobbies, traditions, healthy living etc.)

Module 2 – The Individual and Society (gender issues, youth culture, education etc.)

A2 French, German & Spanish  

Module 1 – Environmental Issues

Module 2 – Social and Political Issues

Module 3 – The study of literature and/or film

Assessment

Oral Examination

Multi Skilled Examination (Reading, Writing, Listening)
