Carpentry & Joinery Level 2 Diploma at East Surrey College

Course description

An in-depth course designed to teach you the skills required to become a carpenter or joiner. You will learn carpentry and joinery with construction knowledge covering health and safety, use of hand and portable power tools. Work as part of a team and learn how to make and install timber and joinery items such as doors, roofs and windows. The course can divide into Site or Bench joinery.

 Practical hand skills/safe use of power hand tools
 Site carpentry or bench joinery orientated subjects

If you are under 19 on 31/08/2016, tuition is free. If you are 19 or over please consult Client Services for advice and guidance on funding and eligibility.
Please be aware that there may be additional costs for equipment and educational visits. This information will be available from the curriculum staff at interview.

Further information

To meet health and safety requirements within our realistic work environment, learners must provide steel toe-capped boots/safety shoes and must wear suitable clothing.
