BTEC Performing Arts at St Peter's Catholic Comprehensive School

Course description

BTEC Performing Arts is a challenging and exciting vocational course providing extensive training in the Arts. The emphasis is on preparing the young person for University or a career in the Arts as well as developing creativity, technique and skills. Students explore Drama, Dance and some singing through practical classes as well as business training to support them when they enter the profession. Trips, residencies and visiting professionals are commonplace in the course with individual support and an extensive range of facilities that are the best in the area and specialist staff.

Entry requirements

All students applying to the course will be required to attend an assessed workshop to ensure they have the basic skills required for the course. We prefer students to have grade C or above in either Dance or Drama, however students without these qualifications may still be suitable to undertake

  • the course and will be considered following a 1:1 meeting with a member of the BTEC Performing Arts staff.
