ICT Cambridge Technical Introductory Diploma at Hessle High School and Sixth Form College

Course description

The Cambridge Technical Introductory Diploma has been developed to meet the changing needs of the sector. The course offers a more in-depth look at ICT in the workplace and gives you an insight into its role in specialist careers. The course is equivalent to one A Level.

The new course specification, introduced in September 2016, has been designed in collaboration with experts spanning the breadth of the sector. It focuses on the skills, knowledge and understanding that today's universities and employers demand. You will study the following units:

  • Application Design
  • Web Design and Prototyping
  • Global Information
  • Internet of Everything
  • Fundamentals in IT

Entry requirements

A minimum of five GCSEs at a Pass Grade are required.
Some courses have specific subject grade requirements for entry. For more details, please contact staff at your place of study.


60% Coursework and 40% Exam.

Future opportunities

The course will equip you very well for entry to higher education to study ICT, software or engineering.
