Logistics Operations Level 2 at TIR Training Services

Course description

The Logistics Operations qualification is designed to give someone the opportunity to work in all areas of a business in order to gain a complete understanding of how the business works. Time will be spent working in the warehouse, traffic office and transport departments gaining experience of how each part operates. This qualification has been designed to support those involved with distributive operations such as dealing with the handling and storing of goods within a commercial, industrial or removers’ warehouses, or freight facility, movement of goods, customer service and stock control.

Course content

To achieve this qualification, learners must complete 4 mandatory units and a selection of optional units. Below is an example of the mandatory and optional groups. Mandatory group: •Health, safety and security at work •Contribute to the provision of customer service in logistics operations •Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in logistics operations •Make an effective contribution to a business in logistics operations Optional group: •Prepare the vehicle for driving •Protect the vehicle and load •Pick goods in a logistics operation •Release vehicles for daily tasks •Monitor vehicle movements.
