Course description
What will I study?
• Composing music
• Contemporary song writing techniques
• Sequencing systems and techniques
Entry requirements
Four GCSEs at grade C or above, or an equivalent Level 2 qualification at grade Merit or above with Functional Skills Maths and English at Level 2 and a good reference, there is also a requirement for an additional practical skills assessment.
Assessment
Although the emphasis is on practical assignments, you will need to complete written assessments in the form of evaluative log books and rehearsal diaries and contextual and business studies.
Future opportunities
This course enables students to progress to university or to get started in the music industry.
