Psychology A Level at Nottingham University Samworth Academy

Course description

Psychology is interested in explaining human behaviour. Why do we think, feel and behave the way we do? In order to explain human behaviour we have to provide explanations which are supported with evidence. As psychologists, we need to arrive at explanations through carrying out studies, collecting data and conducting research.

By the end of the course, students will have developed a sound understanding of issues, debates and perspectives in psychology. They will also have the necessary grounding to prepare them for successful progression to higher education, and an awareness of how to apply psychology to their everyday life and the world around them.
