Course description

What will I learn?

... how to provide excellent customer service in a catering or hospitality environment, provide service to customers, prepare and serve food and beverages, following health and safety guidelines and ensuring customer orders are met. You will also improve your Maths and English as well as your knowledge about hospitality. You can adapt your learning to meet your interests and what you do in your job.

Entry requirements

you need no qualifications to do this course. You must be over 16, willing to learn, be enthusiastic, reliable and happy to learn from feedback from your tutors and employer.

Assessment

you collect evidence to demonstrate you can perform food and beverage services in your E-portfolio. You will take bite size online testes for your Maths and English. Your knowledge is assessed by short projects and assignments through your E-portfolio.

Future opportunities

you can do the next level - an Advanced Apprenticeship in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership, or choose to develop your skills by undertaking continued professional development courses, such as an Apprenticeship in Team Leading or Customer Service. You can carry on earning money, keeping your options open.
