Culinary Skills Level 2 Diploma at Chelmsford College

Course description

This course is designed for learners who wish to extend their knowledge to work as professional chefs in the hospitality and catering sector. They will learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression within this sector. The emphasis on the course is learning by doing.

Entry requirements

Level 1 Certificate in Culinary Skills or relevant industrial experience.

Assessment

Learners are required to complete practical assessments and the associated underpinning knowledge.

Financial information

Learners need to purchase uniform, equipment and a text book from the College suppliers, expected costs are approx £190

    • Our Princes Road campus houses many of our practical vocational areas. Laid out over a two-floor site with car parking and good links to buses, the campus boasts a new Electrical and Engineering block.

      A new welcome area with internet cafe, refectory and conservatory area for students to relax and socialise are also available.

      In addition to Electrical and Engineering, our Princes Road campus also houses our Construction workshops and Hospitality and Catering kitchens, with our Princes Room restaurant open to the public.

      The campus also houses a Learning Centre, Skills Development Centre, Assessment Centre and Tutorial Centre.
