Music Technology at Longcroft School

Course description

The outline of the Music Technology course provides a worthwhile, satisfying and complete course of study which broadens experience, develops imagination, fosters creativity and promotes personal and social development.
The course encourages you to:
- Extend the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to communicate through music and to take part in music-making.
- Engage in, and extend your appreciation of, the diverse and dynamic heritage of music, promoting your spiritual and cultural development.
- Develop particular strengths and interests, encourage life-long learning and provide access to music-related careers.

Entry requirements

Students will normally have achieved grade A* -C at GCSE in Music or Music Technology. In exceptional circumstances students who have not taken a Music related GCSE but have performance skills or music theory qualifications may be able to take this course.
