Electrotechnical Installation BTEC Level 3 Diploma at Burnley College

Course description

This course covers the practical and advanced theoretical aspects of electrical installation, including assembling electrical wiring systems, safe and efficient working practices, and using and communicating technical information.

Our Construction courses are taught in our outstanding two bespoke Construction buildings and new Centre for Engineering Excellence built in 2015, providing the most up-to-date environment possible to develop your skills in this specific trade.

All workshops are purpose built and state of the art which meet the needs of the learner and the ever changing industry. These workshops run alongside outstanding classroom and IT facilities, supporting the learner experience whilst studying at the College.

Entry requirements

A Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation with at least a Merit grade OR an appropriate Level 2 Diploma PLUS GCSE grade C in English, Mathematics and Science.

Assessment

Assessment is via coursework and knowledge tests.

Future opportunities

An Advanced Electrical Installation Apprenticeship or a Foundation Degree in Building, Services and Sustainable Engineering.
