Biology AS A2 at The Duston School

Course description

Biology is about all aspects of life from processes going on inside one cell to processes happening all over the world. Biologists try to understand the processes that keep cells alive, how life continues on Earth and how we can help people stay healthy and disease free for as long as possible.

Course content

Biology involves learning many new words. Increasingly more time is spent learning how processes work by research and teaching this to your peers. There is practical work to do in the laboratory which will require you to manipulate apparatus carefully and accurately. You will also have to plan and evaluate experiments.
