Level 1 Award for IT users (iTQ) at Lincolnshire Regional College

Course description

The ITQ is the new nationally recognised qualification for IT users in the workplace. The level 1 award is desiged for those who have limited use of a computer at work to provide evidence of competence working within a supported environment. The opportunity is also provided to show understanding and skills in a variety of areas.

The qualification is set by employers to meet their standards at work. It allows you to include your existing IT skills, at any level, in the assessment and you may also have the opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge. This course runs from 4 to 6 months with assessment carried out in the workplace.

What you will learn:

This course is designed as an introduction to Level 1 and gives you the opportunity to develop your understanding of a wide range of options including: Presentation Graphics, Desktop Publishing, Databases, Spreadsheets, Database Management and internet & email.

Entry requirements

No formal entry requirements, although familiarity with using a computer would be beneficial.
