Extended Project Qualification at New Mills School and Sixth Form

Course description

Applying for jobs, apprenticeships and university places has become a competitive arena. Now, more than ever, it is essential that students can make themselves stand out from the crowd and catch the eye of the employer or recruitment officer.

Extended Projects allow students the freedom to complete work into any area they choose, encourage independent work and require a high level of self-motivation and maturity. They are exceptionally popular with both universities and employers and carry substantial UCAS tariff points.

At New Mills Sixth Form we have been extremely successful in mentoring pupils through Extended Projects as diverse as a dissertation examining aerodynamics in Formula One cars to the production of a short teen TV drama. Whatever your interest or specialist subjects we are confident we can guide you through an Extended Project relating to it.
