Intermediate Apprenticeship in Furniture Making at Norfolk Training Services
The qualification focuses on integral components of a job-role within furniture making and installing such as health and safety, producing sawn wood and wood-based products in the workplace making and assembling wooden components of hand crafted furniture and applying stains, sealers and primers,
- learners either looking to embark on a career within Furniture Making or for those individuals who are already employed within the industry but who are looking to gain a recognised, relevant qualification to support their job-role.
Once on programme with NTS, an assessor will be assigned to each learner. The assessor will carry out an induction to the course and pre arrange visits for every 4 to 6 weeks, on these visits the assessor will assess learners carrying out practical tasks that they would complete in their day to day job role, the assessor will also assess knowledge reports that learners have completed and set targets for the next meeting.
