History - GCSE at Culford School

Course description

GCSE History covers the period of the Cold War in Europe and the wider world, looking at how the superpower conflict began after WWII, some of the key moments, such as the building of the Berlin Wall and the Cuban Missiles Crisis, and how communism collapsed in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Other areas of study - German 1918 - 1939, America 1919-1941, the Vietman War and the changing role and status of women in Britain since 1900.


Assessment is by examination only.
