Performing Engineering Operations Level 2 Diploma at Waltham Forest College

Course description

You will be able to progress to a level two course in engineering maintenance or design to further develop your skills in preparation for an apprenticeship.

Course content

Working safely in an engineering environment
Carry out engineering activities efficiently and effectively
Using and communicating technical information
Maintaining mechanical devices and equipment
Maintaining electrical equipment/systems
General maintenance engineering applications

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at Grade D (3) including Maths, English and Science. Interview and assessment

Assessment

You will complete a range of practical assessment tasks and build a portfolio demonstrating what you have learned which will be assessed by a qualified assessor.

Future opportunities

You will be able to gain employment as an engineering maintenance apprentice in a range of industries or progress to further learning in engineering in readiness for more senior technical job roles.
