Course description

Live locally, travel globally!

That’s the main attraction of working as part of the cabin crew for an airline company. It’s a varied, exciting and rewarding career, and each day you could be travelling to a new and vibrant city anywhere in the world. And with numerous major airports in the region, you can do this without moving far away.

If this sounds like the lifestyle for you, the Diploma in Air Cabin Crew could be the starting point of a journey leading to employment with an airline and a career that's really going somewhere!

Course content

You will develop the skills and knowledge you’ll need to work for an airline as part of the cabin crew. This covers everything from preparing the cabin to coordinating a safe flight, and includes airline operations, crew room duties, getting the passengers aboard, demonstrating safety procedures and preparing to work in aviation.

Maths and English are key elements of any full-time programme of study in College. If you do not already have a GCSE at grade A*-C (or new grade 9-4), in these subjects, you will need to attend sessions allocated on your timetable. These are varied and designed to cater for all ability levels. You will receive advice and guidance regarding the correct level for you.

Skills in Maths and English will support your full-time course, assisting you with assignment writing, research, job applications, presentations, managing your own finances and interpretation of data, to mention just a few. They will also help you in the future. Most employers are looking for ability in these areas and the majority of university courses require you to have Maths and English GCSEs at A*-C (or new grade 9-4), .
