Generation - Electrical Control and Instrumentation Programme at E.On UK

Course description

The E.ON Generation Business and Ratcliffe-on-Soar power station is an exciting place to work. Ratcliffe is nearing the end of a major investment programme to ensure that it’s the cleanest operating coal fired power station in the country. The site team, made up of engineers and operational staff, run the station 24 hours a day and 365 days a year to produce electrical power for our customers. Ratcliffe has always been at the forefront of innovation and development in the electricity generation industry and is an environment that’s full of state of the art equipment. The station is one of the first in the UK to be fitted with a Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) system. More recently Ratcliffe’s combustion process has been upgraded by fitting a selective catalytic reduction plant. Ratcliffe continually works to improve its performance by implementing appropriate new technologies which improve plant efficiency and reduce emissions.
