Future opportunities

Biology is a highly respected subject, and the skills and knowledge you will learn during the course can help you progress onto a variety of university courses not necessarily linked directly with the subject. However, if you are passionate about the subject then a degree in Biology, Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science, Environmental Science, Forensic Science or the Natural Sciences such as Ecology and Zoology will be an option for you. It is also important for paramedical studies such as Nursing, Radiography, Pharmacy, Environmental Health and Medical laboratory  work. Many students go into all of these fields or study other subjects that use their biological expertise.
