Course description
This course can be studied as a one year AS or a two year full course.
Course content
Biological molecules
Cells
Organisms exchange substances with their environment
Genetic information, variation and relationships between organisms
Entry requirements
Two grade 6's at GCSE in Triple Science (one in Biology) or Combined (Trilogy) Science and a grade 5 in Maths.
Assessment
Each year students must complete 6 specific practice tasks that are assessed by their teachers. These are in addition to routine practical lessons and their successful completion is recognised with an endorsement shown in the final exam certificate.
