Course description

Professional Cookery – Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3Gain real life experience in the professional cookery industry with practical training in food production and cookery, kitchen services and professional cookery alongside your employer.You may also need to study Functional Skills Maths and English Level 2, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS), and Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) units to successfully complete your training. Some attendance at college may be required and an Assessor will also visit you in the workplace to carry out practical assessments and monitor your progress.

There are no formal entry requirements but your previous skills and experience will be considered upon application.

Financial information

16 – 18 years – Course 100% funded19 – 23 years – No contribution is required at this moment in time.(employers may wish to help towards the costs)24+ years – Not funded. Course costs payable by employer/individual but loans may be available through the 24+ Advanced Learning Loan scheme.
