Jewellery Manufacture Level 2 Apprenticeship at British Academy of Jewellery

Course description

This qualification is brand new, based upon years of delivery expertise. The qualification framework has been developed after extensive work, designed to give those studying a fantastic grounding in jewellery making skills and understanding.

Course content

If you are aged 16-23 want to earn a salary whilst working, learning and gaining a qualification then this is for you.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to gain the skills needed for the real world as well as a qualification, which proves you can cut it. If you want to kick start your career and get a real behind the scenes insight, an Apprenticeship is the ideal model for you, combining the best that the Academy has to offer with the best the industry has to give.
What happens on the course?
We currently run our Apprenticeships in two parts starting with an intensive skills acquisition programme in-house over 8 weeks followed by a job placement. You will then attend the Academy on a day release basis between once a week to once a month depending on your progress.
Through the programme you will be continuously assessed both in the Academy and through visits in the workplace.

*the toolkit and materials may be charged or may be unnecessary depending on your placement.
The programme we have created is covered in just under 300 hours of guided learning by our expert and friendly team. Usually this takes around four and a half months to complete (on a two day per week basis). Progression to a Level 3 can happen just as soon as you are complete and will then allow you to continue to build your skills to an industry standard level.
Is this for me?
This fantastic introductory course is for those with little or no prior knowledge in jewellery making or design experience. Covering a vast array of skills on a module-by-module basis, this course has 13 modules, which build up step-by-step your ability, understanding and skills in jewellery manufacture. This course is a gateway to further learning and development and will provide a solid foundation of skills for you to build upon and further specialise.
