Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems (QCF): Level 2 Diploma at College of North West London (FE)

Course description

This level will suit you if you are working, or looking to work, in the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry and have some relevant knowledge and skills, usually from a role where you've been supervised

Course content

Level 2 comprises mandatory, optional and additional units, including: Mandatory •maintain the safe working environment for HVACR activities •contribute to the improvement of business products and services for HVACR work activities •plan RAC work activities •commission and decommission RAC systems. Optional units •install RAC systems and components •service and maintain RAC systems and components.

Entry requirements

You will need English and Maths skills at Level 1. If you do not have evidence of your English and Maths levels you will be given an online English and Maths assessment after you submit your application. You may also be asked to complete a piece of free writing or a vocational assessment. If you meet the entry requirements you will then be offered an interview with a tutor to discuss the course.

Assessment

You will be assessed on an ongoing basis through assignments, online tests and practical tasks.
