Course description

This qualification will develop the knowledge and skills needed when working with food in health and social care and early years and childcare settings. It covers food safety requirements, contributing to and/or promoting nutritions and hydration, and supporting individuals to eat and drink.

Entry requirements

You should be at least 14 years old.


It will be assessed by your tutor or assessor. This could include direct observation within the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignment, or a task.

Future opportunities

Other Level 2 or 3 Health and Social Care qualifications or Early Years Educator qualifications depending on your chosen career path.
