Biology at Cardinal Newman Catholic School

Course description

A background in Biology is difficult to beat; the science of the living world affects everyone and everything! As well as this it’s dynamic, challenging and topical! It gives you the chance to work at the very edge of human knowledge and to understand how this can make a real impact on the future. You will gain a greater awareness of the contribution of Biology in satisfying the needs of society and a greater expertise in the area of practical work.

The skills you will develop are highly sought after by employers and open up a range of university and vocational options both within and beyond science-based careers. The most important qualities that you need to be successful are an enthusiasm for learning about the living world and a logical, methodical approach.
