Course description

As a Health & Social Care Apprentice you'll develop a clear understanding of your specific role and responsibilities and you'll be shown how you can help create a safe, healthy environment for yourself and those you care for.   The Health & Social Care Level 2 NVQ also covers equality, discrimination and stereotyping and you'll see the day-to-day problems caused by prejudice within a care environment.

To gain better understanding of your clients' needs
Begin a lifelong learning in Health & Social Care
Gain a national recognised certificate; which indicates your competence

This programme is suitable for people who are in or wanting to work in the Care sector, who support individuals with their day-to-day requirements, support them with their physical and emotional need and maintain their independence

Numeracy & Literacy Level 2 or equivalent

Continuous assessment

Financial information

Under current legislation all people serving an Apprenticeship must be of employed status.

In financial terms it means they should be paid the minimum rate of pay for Apprentices and contractually employed on a full-time basis.

All training within in the Apprenticeship framework is paid for by Rochdale Training using government funding.
