BTEC National Level 3 Sub-Diploma/ Diploma in Business at Clacton County High School
The course provides an overview of the different elements that make up an organisation including: business environment; business resources; marketing; communication; accounting; finance and human resources. Students are given the opportunity to set up and run their own business and apply knowledge gained to a variety of real life businesses. You are assessed by either six or twelve units of coursework across the two years depending on whether you decide to complete the Sub Diploma or Diploma course. This course will suit you if you are self-motivated, enjoy group work but can also work on an individual basis. The course is suitable for students who enjoy researching online and using a variety of sources, can work to deadlines and want to gain a wider knowledge of the business environment. Additionally this course is suitable for students who prefer being assessed through coursework rather than examinations.
Essential: A minimum of four GCSEs (grades A*-C) is required, normally including either Maths or English or a Merit in BTEC First Diploma.
Desirable: Knowledge of Business Studies/ Interest in Current Affairs
