Health and Social Care - BTEC Level 2 at New Rickstones Academy

Course description

For those who wish to gain or sustain interest in health, earlyyears care and education, social care and issues affecting the care sector. Students will develop skills and resarch that will enable them to make an effective contribution to the care sector. The course is assessed by both coursework and examination.

What are the future pathways and opportunities that are available when studying your subject?

This vocational course can lead to jobs such as nanny, Auxiliary nurse, Care Worker, nursery Assistant, and other jobs in Health and Social Care. It is a Level 2 (Intermediate) course, so you may be able to progress to a Level 3 (Advanced) course such as the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or Applied AS/A Level Health & Social Care, or CACHE Level 3 course in Childcare and Education (for these courses, you may need to have GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths.
