Motor Vehicle - IMIAL Level 2 Diploma at Marine Academy

Course description

If you are aged 16 to 18, have successfully completed an Automotive Level 1 and looking for a career in the Automotive industry, but have not yet achieved a minimum of Grade C in GCSE English and mathematics, this one year study programme has been specifically designed to further develop your knowledge and skills and prepare you for progression to Level 3 and beyond.

The programme covers a wide range of motor vehicle topics to an advanced level. At Level 2 you will be expected to carry out practical tasks to industry standards and be able to diagnose more complex faults.

There is a real focus on progression (see Career Options and Progression), careers and the world of work and you will further develop your employability skills.

This course offers an outstanding opportunity to further develop the range of skills required in the industry through continuous assessment. Practical skills feature highly, along with support for English, mathematics and computing skills related to the industry.

Problem solving is a key theme that runs through the course along with the development of employability skills.
