Economics (A specification) A Level at Central Foundation Boys School

Course description

We all live in an Economy and we are all economists; the only difference is that students of Economics aim to understand how it all works! The study of Economics enables you to understand the world you live in and gives you understanding and skills which you can use throughout your life. It is a multi-faceted subject which will allow you to explore a huge range of issues affecting people’s everyday lives. We study why firms make the choices they do and how consumers react. We question the objectives of our country’s government and its policies, like tackling unemployment or reducing the gap between rich and poor. We challenge our position in the global economy and discuss how the UK interacts with other countries around the world.
