Course content

This comprehensive BTEC National Diploma in Health and Social Care covers all aspects of health and social care. It is designed for students who wish to enter the health or social care professions. Some of the units of work included within this course are:
 Communication
 Health and safety
 Diet and nutrition
 Complementary therapies
 Health promotion
 Sociology and psychology.

Entry requirements

To access this course you will need 5 A* - C grades including English Language at GCSE.

Assessment

You will cover a wide range of units over a two year period and the course is entirely coursework based with no exams. It is important to note that the course involves mandatory work experience placements which must total 100 hours over the two years.
 
The course uses a combination of theoretical and practical learning, and you will need to be well organised and enjoy working with others.
