History at Lucton School

Course description

The OCR history course at Lucton is designed to offer both breadth and depth, and to cater for a wide range of interests.The AS-level allows students to investigate Norman England, 1066-1100 and modern Germany (1919-1963. The A2 course focuses on Tudor Rebellions, 1485-1603 and the Russian Revolution, 1905-1924 (the latter is a coursework module).

Entry requirements

Students wishing to study history at A-level will ideally have a B grade or higher in GCSE history. Students who have not taken GCSE history will ideally have at least a grade B in GCSE English Language.
